Using Pvc Pipe For Downspouts

Look at that look at that action that s going to remove any sediment.
Using pvc pipe for downspouts. On the house i used downspout adapters with leaf guards. This is the pipe that you see used for indoor sanitary plumbing purposes. Most downspouts don t have a 50 foot run but i wanted to use a 50 foot piece of corrugated clear four inch pipe just so that we could see it in probably the worst case scenario. A downspout would be very simple to make as well just simply glue in two end caps and a 3 x3 x1 5 tee to your 3 pvc pipe.
There are two piping materials i m aware of both are made from pvc that meet these criteria. This time glue a sanitary t fitting to the pipe end and the other end of its trench. Then cut the top 1 3 to 1 2 of top of the pipe off. The best material is schedule 40 pvc.
Continue installing pipes along the trench until you reach the second downspout. To do this i cut the black corrugated pipe added a t and aimed the pipe upwards to the downspout. Since my in ground pipe ran right past the garage i had the garage downspout dump in as well. Install the gutter and run your 1 5 downspout with 90 degree or 45 degree depending on your configuration.
Make another adapter and reducer assembly for the second downspout. Use standard couplings to connect the pipe sections.
